Hi everyone,
I recently migrated my bilingual blog (English + Portuguese) from WIX to WordPress and am currently using the paid version of the GTranslate plugin. However, I’m really dissatisfied with the front-end editing process, and I feel like it’s negatively impacting my Google rankings.
Since I already have all my translations done manually, I don’t need automatic translations. I’m looking for a plugin that allows me to manage both languages easily, ideally by editing all content in one place while maintaining different versions of each page for each language.
I don’t have much technical knowledge, so I’d need something relatively simple to use. Does anyone have recommendations for a better plugin to suit my needs?
Thanks in advance!
You have come to the right place!
I am the founder of WordPress plugin which does manual and automatic translations: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/conveythis-translate/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/conveythis-translate/)
It’s easy to setup and works with any type of WP site.
Let me know if you have any questions!
WPML or Polylang.
You can use Polylang, it’s free and does exactly what you mention (plus other things). Or, depending on your website’s structure, use ACF and simply add PT and EN to the fields you need (title, content, category, etc) and then add a toggle on top. Or simply use multisite and create [en.yoursite.com](http://en.yoursite.com) and [pt.yoursite.com](http://pt.yoursite.com)
MultilingualPress
My vote goes for MultilingualPress. It works with a multisite setup, that keeps each language on its own site and makes things much easier and cleaner IMO.
WPML is also pretty good though.
