Best theme for adds website

It’s possible you also have themes specifically configured for what you want, but that will be a long shot and they will never 100% deliver on what you want to achieve).

So, I would advice to do it yourself? If you can? With any good theme you can actually achieve what you want by using a combination of different plugins.

Seeing you don’t have much experience, I can breakdown the project a bit more for you:

– You have the Data part (where do you store the information of the real estate adds, what fields do these need to have. For example I’m guessing you need several photo’s, a title, a description, ….). These are all fields that need to be stored in the Database in some way. For this I would advice you to use Custom Post Types (You can do this in the GUI using [https://pods.io/]) – Or just go to Plugins > Install new Plugin > Pods)

There you will have to create a new Custom Post Type, and add the fields you want.

– Next up is the displaying of this data on your website. Here you want to query (look up from the database) the listings with the custom fields you configured here above. If you don’t have any coding experience, you could use a Page Builder (= A plugin again, like Elementor or Divi), or you could use the Pods templates with the Gutenberg editor (= default configured editor in WordPress).

Now on to the question of what theme you should use for this, I liked the Astra theme in the past, because it is pretty light weight (which I prefer).

I personally like to use the combination:

* Hello Elementor (very lightweight theme)
* Use Elementor PRO to do all my styling using their theme builder
* Use PODS for any custom data
* Use Elementor again to display this data

But that’s maybe because I am a software developer :D.
