As title says, I’m working on a site for a client that’s a complete redesign of their current site. I started by downloading a backup of their site and redesigning it using Local. However, when the new site goes live, I’ll need to keep everything I’ve done, and merge in all of their current orders, comments, etc from woocommerce on the live site. What’s the safest way to go about doing this? I think I can use the built in WordPress export functionality but wasn’t sure if there’s a preferred way?

I’m assuming the redesign is just code and not database related? But the live site has continued to have new orders etc while you’ve been making the changes?
You can forget to use the built in export function. At least half a year ago it was not up to the task for any WC related data. I tested a massive amount of solutions bc I was doing the exact same task for a shop with over 10k orders. Ended up with Webtoffee Import/Export (products and orders addon) because every other solution failed either on shipping data, order_numbers, invoices or WC analytics or all of them. To be noted it has been said in the community to bring the design to the shop and not try to bring the shop to the design for a good reason.
Was a big headache and mostly bc WC made a dumb decisions to use the wp_posts tables for orders which they try finally to correct after years with their HPOS approach.. Anyway there was a reason to build up a new db so I had to go the route but would not recommended it to follow this path.
I use ACF every day in my day job but not much experience with WooCommerce. I do know you can export and import Field Groups in json format via the ACF tools menu.
