Hi, we’re a full stack web agency that usually makes WP sites using ACF / bespoke themes. As such we’ve priced out small customers.
We’re thinking of using a drag and drop theme to be able to appeal to startups, however it’s not something I’ve looked at for a decade.
What are the best options with speed, best practice and usability in mind?

Everyone will have different opinions, but what you really recommend focusing on are builders thave the largest database of demos or page/content that you can import. Some have user-generated libraries as well of rebuild pages or elements.
**Some examples that come to mind are:**
* Avada
* Divi
* Elementor
This way you can get an idea of what someone wants, import a base demo that is close, swap out some pages or elements and rebrand with their colors, logo, and images.
The only way to cater to cheap clients is to use a strategy that reduces labor.
To appear contrary – Avada, Divi and Elementor are all garbage: out-dated code-base, bloated code output, and you need 20plugins to make up for all the features they’re missing. Awful
You can look for themes with demo-templates, but for me it’s better to build from scratch, and so to have a tool that allows you to do so easily and quickly. Breakdance, Bricks and Cwickly fit the bill. Each let’s you design a theme, add various templates for your posts/pages/cpts etc., have scroll animations, blocks for design (e.g. testimonial, slider etc.)… all 3 are light, fast and deeply featured… so it’s a matter of looking close at each and seeing what fits your need.
