I’ve had a difficult time finding a way to code something like this or a one-time fee plugin that will accomplish it for me. Any suggestions? On a book listing page such as: [https://zarakeane.com/books/dial-p-for-poison/](https://zarakeane.com/books/dial-p-for-poison/) (not my site) you can scroll down and find a little slideshow of the other books in the series. This site appears to be made with Elementor which I’d rather not use because of bloated code.
This site: [https://ajstewart.com/books/three-strikes/](https://ajstewart.com/books/three-strikes/) appears to manage something similar with this plugin: [https://lalaprojects.com/product/wordpress-author-plugin/](https://lalaprojects.com/product/wordpress-author-plugin/) though I would prefer not to have an annual fee.
I’ve been able to accomplish something similar by using related posts but then you can’t really control the order the book series appears in and it doesn’t work if the blog function is needed for something else.
I’m surprised there aren’t more solutions out there like this as I think it’s a common problem for authors that write multiple books in one series.

If not 100% sure on a plugin that will do exactly that but you can probably use the OwlCarousel plugin to create something similar to it. Check it out and let me know.
