Brand new and I’m a few hours into learning WordPress… Is there really no way to expand the width of a group without using plug-ins? Just want to have the text moved more to the left? If a plug-in is needed, which is recommended?

  1. Should mention I’m relearning WordPress… I used to have an old WordPress site built using Elementor, but that was 2 years ago… Since then, just from reading around, it seems like the quality and features of Elementor have waned considerably. I’m trying to run this website as lean as possible, but it seems like that won’t be possible for basic design.

I currently have zero plug-ins installed. Not sure which ones would help me achieve in what I’m trying to do here…

  2. You can set the site width in the Editor > style > layouts.

That group is inside another group, so make sure the parent group (and the template itself) doesn’t limit the max width either. Disable that “inner blocks use…” toggle and you’ll see more options for the width.
