Can I use wordpress to build a Saas? What are great WordPress themes for SaaS?

We built a website and it is extemely slow as google page speed score is not good enough and we used wordpress to build this website. We are using wordpress’s default theme and using elementor editor. We optimised a website a lot but still not able to get 90 + google page speed score.

Now we are redesigning our [website](https://app.gowith.link/) and going to rebuild it from scratch.

What are your suggestions should we stick with WordPress or consider using it as a headless CMS.

  1. Elementor could be a big part of your problem. Especially if you also installed a bunch of additional Elementor tools.

Server is also a big problem in page speed.

What is Google Page Speed telling you the problems are? That’s a good place to start.

  2. Page speed issues could be due to a host of different reasons. Are images being optimized? Are you on basic hosting? Number of plugins etc If speed is a key driver then Headless could represent an option. But there is a learning curve and it is a very different approach to building and managing websites. The decision is also very nuanced as budget, dev capability, bespoke v theme based all come into it. If you want to make a more informed decision feel free to check out the blog at [Contento.io](https://Contento.io) – our Headless CMS has a heavy SaaS bias to it, and there are lots of intro level resources that you can read to help make a solid decision. You can also use a Contento starter kit to spin up a test B2B SaaS site for free (no credit card required) so you can better understand how it all works.
