Asking because I own a marketing agency. I outsource web development to my friend's business; however I am an admin because I am the one who creates new pages, website content, etc. The developer charges me for hosting and for website maintenance (i.e. making sure plugins are up to date, etc.). Here's the thing, though — every time I login, there are all these notifications saying that "xyz plugin" needs to be updated or that I need to update to the latest version of WP. Honestly I don't think he's touched any of it and is just charging me $50/month to do nothing. (I pay separately for hosting.) I am the one who goes in and updates all the things. All he has done is help me with security certificates and when the site gets hacked.
Anyways, I want to bring this up because I'm tired of paying for stuff I'm not seeing. But I don't want to accuse him of anything if I am wrong. Is there a way I can check to see when the last time someone logged in, updated the website or plugins, etc? I'd rather be like "hey — it shows here that this hasn't been done" then just ask about it without proof.
Thank you!
