Can my home page be static and the rest of the site be WordPress?

For speed and reliability, is it a good idea to make a home page static and the remaining pages (blog) WordPress?

Or should I just make the whole site static?

Any advice on software to make the site static and does this increase site loading speed and Google CWV?

  1. Setting the Home page as static is one of the most common things to do in WordPress:

  2. I had a client who needed an age consent page back in the day when there wasn’t a good way to do that in WordPress. I created an index.html file that took precedence over index.php in my server setup. It worked well. Once you’re in WordPress, you’re in WordPress. What happens before you’re in WordPress doesn’t matter.
