Hi, so I wanted to learn WordPress, however I noticed I needed to install the plugin Elementor to help me create my site.
Word press does not allow free users to install plugins. Instead I would have to pay $300 to install the plugin.
I was wondering, if I were to signup with a host, and install word press. Would it still be the same case, would I still need to pay that $300?

If you’re just learning, install localWP on your computer and run WordPress locally. No fees! Once you’re ready to put a site live avoid WordPress.com, find a good cheap host and install there.
You seem to be using the commercial vendor “[Wordpress.com](https://Wordpress.com)”. Instead, get yourself a small webspace and install WordPress from [Wordpress.org]) there. See the “The difference between .com and .org” [https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/rremcd/the_difference_between_wordpress_com_and_org/]) post in this Reddit forum for an explanation why they want to charge you.
If you were to sign up to a host that isn’t named WordPress.com, you have complete access to do anything you like with your site. Only WordPress.com has a crippled version.
