As stated – you’ll need either a social network style plugin ( like ultimate member / buddypress ) or membership ( like memberpress ) – and possibly others. Your best route is to find one tat does as much as possible – then see what gaps are left (what the main plugin doesn’t do) – and ask about these features separately.
Sure, but wouldn’t be my preference. If you don’t have experience in custom wordpress dev, then it’s going to be a headache, probably dozens of plugin installations and you most likely still won’t get it to look, function or perform the way you want/need it to.

Only an insane person would try to do it with WordPress. Can be achieved easily with a framework based systems.
