Sorry to hear you’ve been unable to complete Site Kit set up. So we can determine more on this, please share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
- What is the full error you see when landing back with on the set up screen? I ask as the “Error connecting Site Kit” notice usually comes with some further details, some of which are documented on the plugin website.
- Have you been able to set up Site Kit successfully previously, including from a different domain after migrating your site?

This is the error that comes with the error connecting site kit.
The Site Kit setup was interrupted because you did not grant the necessary permissions.

If your seeing this notice then it may be a case of attempting Site Kit set up once more, and this time ensuring all checkboxes are ticked when requested during the OAuth set up flow, where users are asked to grant permission for Site Kit to display data. I mention this as sometimes not all boxes are ticked by default.
Let me know how you get on after attempting set up once more. If the same occurs I may ask you to share a screen recording of your experience using a service such as Loom or RecordIt.
That worked checking all of the boxes.
