The scenario –
I have created a filter for shop on shop page. The filter menu for example has :
Clothes – under clothes you can select – Dresses, Tops, Trousers, Shirts etc
Colour – under colour you can select – Red, Blue, Yellow, Green etc
Size: Under size you can select – X-Large, Large, Medium, Small etc
Problem: When a customer is using the filter and wants to look at red clothes, they would select “Red” from the colour Category, and you will see all the Red clothes (this works correctly with plugin), but lets say the customer wants to view all Red and Green clothes, so the go back to filter but it doesn’t allow you to select any other colour. You have to reset the filter to “nothing seleted”, then select “Green” under the colour Category to view all Green clothes. Why can’t you select as many filter options as you like (like most other websites), then close then ones you no longer what to look at, by using the x symbol next to each selected category name you selected?
Is there some sort of setting that I don’t have active? Please help as, the way the filter functions at the moment is non-usable. I tried another plugin and it does the exact same thing, and again is non-usable. What makes it even worst is when I selected “Red” under colour category, and try to selected another colour i.e “Green” (which by the way all other colours have now gone to non selectable) and have product count active, it will show “Green (0)” having zero green products for sale. Then if I reset the filter, it will say for example if I had 20 green products, it will say 20. Very weird and confusing. I don’t have AJAX in settings active, could this be a reason why? I’m trying to rule out as many reasons as possible to why this is happening. Thanks for any help you have.
