Can’t get out of maintainance Mode

Hello everyone,

our companys WordPress Maintainer isn't available today and we seem to have an issue i can't fix myself.

Our Website shows the following message: "Site is currently under maintenance. Thank you for your understanding."

It's a blank page with no header or CSS, just this message in the body. I get the same message when trying to access the wp-admin page.

The message also appaears when i put the servers IP as the URL.

We've tried the following:
– setting the WP_INSTALLING in wp-active.php to false

• deleting the .maintainance file. (There was none)

• renameing the plugins and theme folders

I usually don't work with WordPress at all so i could really use the help.
