Can’t install, update, or delete plugins after migrating from Flywheel

[ad_1]

I have decided to move off of Flywheel to self hosted WP but Flywheel is not making this easy. I was able to clone the site using WPVivid, move it, install it, and the front end and back end seemed to work fine.

Then today I tried to update some plugins and it didn’t work, kicking my site into maintenance mode (both front and back end) which I had to delete the .matinenance file to get the site to come back up. This happens if I try to make any plugin updates or delete existing plugins through the Plugins interface. Sometimes I just get an error message under the plugin (where you click at to update one plugin at a time) that says there was an internal server error but none of these errors show up in the error_log.

I have already commented out a line in my wp-config that referenced the old fw-config:

// Load Flywheel plugins.
// include_once( ABSPATH . “/.fw-config.php” );

I also renamed the .fw-config.php file in my root folder because with it there the site would not load at all and my error_log would fill up with fatal errors.

What else do I have to do to completely cut the cord from Flywheel or what must I do to be able to update the plugins again? There are tons of videos and articles about moving TO flywheel, but getting this site disconnected from it is becoming a nightmare.
