I have about 20 pages (articles I wrote that were different than my posts) that I’d like to now change to normal posts. I found some old stuff on Google about needing plugins, but I’d like to avoid that.
I don’t need the dates displayed on these pages and they will be marked with new categories I created.
Has anyone tried this? I want to keep the URLs and the content as not to mess up SEO.

You can either do it in the DB (google it). But honestly, just use the Post Type Switcher plugin – it will have zero impact on your site performance.
