I changed WordPress Theme but kept the structure of the site exactly the same. From the menu to blog posts is all the same.
To my surprise, the “average time spent on pages” decreased by 44% as well as the bounce rate increased by 42% (see attachment [https://imgur.com/a/4PKbyq8]). Some posts have decreased by a massive 80%.
At first, I thought the loading speed could be the issue, but the site on the new theme is performing slightly better.
So, any idea?

If you’re the owner at this point I would just go back to the old theme, getting traffic is way more important than a pretty interface.
