Choosing an Elemtor alternative

[ad_1]

Greetings !
I'm still kind off new to wordpress as I've only built a couple of websites using elementor.
I know that there is a lot of alternatives I've watched a ton of videos and read about each but I just can't seem to choose one, what should I look for when choosing a Web builder and what should I base my choice on? Everything seems to get the job done and everyone seems to hate this and like that so I'm really confused.

Thanks !

  1. Although, there are so many options out there! When choosing a web builder, think about what’s most important for your specific needs. If you love drag-and-drop simplicity, **Elementor** is awesome, but if you’re looking for something faster or with different features, you might want to try **Oxygen Builder** (great for performance) or **Divi** (super flexible with tons of design options).

If you want something lightweight and fast, **Bricks** is really popular right now. It’s super fast and has a clean UI, which is a bit more suitable.

  2. Most people who hate Elementor don’t know how to use Elementor. It’s like WordPress: if you install +50 plugins for each functionality you’ll eventually end up with a bloated slow broken site.

Same thing happens with Elementor. Now that you can use flexbox and grid most of the bloat is gone. Besides, a good cache and compression plugin and your sites will fly.

When looking at a builder, look for for the tools you can handle the best and you can express the designs you want to make best. Be mindful of optimization but try not to enter the circlejerk of *Elementor bad anything good.*

As for your question: Try Gutenberg, Oxygen and Bricks. You can find the pro plugins for free if you look around, just try them in a local, isolated installation as you should only use them for testing puposes and see which one you like the best.

  3. I’ve used Page Builder by SiteOrigin for years. The free version is perfectly adequate, and it’s very extensible. It’s not as visual as Elementor, Oxygen, Bricks, and all the others mentioned here, but I actually prefer that. It’s easy to develop custom widgets for, and it’s very performant.

  4. I use and prefer bricks. Should I use something else, or recommend something like Elementor, breakdance

  5. I can’t believe nobody here has mentioned Beaver Builder. For someone who is used to Elementor, BB is a fairly easy switch and has support for every major plugin.

Bricks is a more optimized tool, but there’s going to be a steep learning curve for someone who is used to pure drag ‘n drop builders.

  6. I’ve switched multiple simple and complex sites over to [sytescope.com](http://sytescope.com)
Unless you are programming a very niche product, this has everything you could need.

But if you want to stay in the wordpress word I guess bricks?
