Hi
The hosting provider i use have this discount when opening a webhotel which is like 90% off.
Then it renews itself a year later.
Theres nothing stopping me from just cancelling it, opening a new one on the same account and with the same domain name.
Therefore i wanted to know if it has SEO consequences? The site would be temporarily down sure. But it would come up again within a week, looking identical. If it takes Google multiple weeks to index new sites, does it really matter if a site is shortly down like this?

There are always SEO issues when going from one host to another (even one package to another on the same host) but it all depends on how quick you get the site up and running on the new host/package. I wrote a blog post on my personal site detailing how to move a website between hosts with minimal (if any) effect the SEO.
