“comment-page-1” in my canonical url

[ad_1]

Hi. Here is the situation:

I noticed that my Google Analytics and Search Console now have two versions of the same page:

/blog/apple-ipad-for-digital-drawing/
/blog/apple-ipad-for-digital-drawing/comment-page-1/

I also noticed that the same thing happened with pages that have at least one comment.

This has slightly affected traffic and completely ruined my Analytics. It started around March 14 this year, and I did not change any settings or anything like that.

I started Googling this issue and played with the “Break comments into pages…” settings. If I turn it off, then the canonical becomes as it is supposed to be, the original page url with out “comment-page-1” in the url.

My question is, is this a bug? Or is It supposed to be like that?
