This does not look like as the error is related to WP staging but once I can read the error I might be able to tell more about it.
Hi Rene…. it appears that it may not be a WP Staging issue – trying to update the active theme threw up a similar message – basically it cannot create the directory required for the update…. so it must be something else.
I’ve literally just started to dig in to this site which has not been worked on for 2 or 3 years – the php is out of date at 7.3.3 there are 30 updates and I can’t make any 😉
This is going to be fun
Any idea where I should start to look for the cannot create directory error?

Maybe this guide would help as a start. Also, if the staging site was created long time ago and you just get hands on it right now, pleas send us the content of the wp-config.php file of the staging site (after hiding any sensitive data) via this form, I would like to take a look at it. (Forget that if you just created the staging site recently with an updated version of WP STAGING plugin).
