Create product that is sold individually but can be ordered multiple times

I know i can check the “Sold individually: Limit purchases to 1 item per order” checkmark, but that only allows one item in the cart. I have a caricature product with custom fields that should not be ordered in multiples, but can be added multiple times to the cart. I can hide the quantity with CSS, but then the quantity spinner shows up in the FunnelKit mini cart (and other carts). Looking for a more elegant solution so that customers cannot increase the quantity in the cart after being added.
