Creating staging sites for clients when my own site doesn’t use WordPress

[ad_1]

Hi, I feel like this is pretty self-explanatory, but I'm looking to see if any of you have experience designing/creating sites for clients without relying on your own subdomain for the v1/staging site. Is there a way to create a site "template" without paying for my own WordPress account? My own site uses a different CMS and I don't want to go back to WordPress.

  1. You could do development locally on your computer if screen sharing your progress is acceptable for your case. I use Laragon on PC, and have also used localwp on both PC and Mac.

If your client has an existing site up you could see if/what staging options exist with their hosting, though that does run a bit of a risk as the project will be in your clients possession from the start.
