Hi. Noticing how cluttered Elementor and, in general, themes are, i want to make my own code. I’m thinking of making my own HTML, CSS and JS only for animations. For forms, I want to use plugins. This is for presentation websites, not online shops. So apart from the forms, which will not be coded by me, there will be no user inputs.
Is there a big difference in security between this and using themes like Astra if I’m updating my WordPress everytime an update occurs?
Why is it usually recommended to “update the themes”? Is it because of the PHP code behind?
Does my usage of JS for animations only pose any security risk?
