Customizing the Admin Menu | WordPress.org

[ad_1]

The plugin has a drag and drop inteface for customizing the order of admin menu items (& subitems). But is there any way to have a condensed view of the admin menu for easier drag and drop when moving up and down the admin menu items?

I ask this as we have many top level admin items and most of those have extensive sub items. So the drag and drop interface is extremely long (as in a scroll length equivalent to about 10 url windows). Thus when attempting to rearrange the admin menu and your trying to drag something it is an “interesting” exercise to say the least!

I looked to see if there was a way to expand and contract each admin item box so that they would all fit in the “above the fold” – say a little arrow over on the left or right side to expand and contract each admin box and is sub items but did not find this capability (I do note the ability to change the icon on the left and to remove visibility on the right).

Please let me know if I missed something.
