Hey there. I’m looking for theme suggestions. There’s lots of dark / minimal themes, but I’m trying to find one I can use video with.
I’m working on a filmmaking project and need to put together a website for it. Tbh my website making skills are pretty Geocities but I know enough to be dangerous and know to ask around if I get stuck.
What I’m looking for is for the home page to be filled with a short showreel. What’s the best way to work with video in WordPress? Self host? Or a video hosting service? Fwiw we are a YouTube channel. I don’t necessarily want player controls and other clutter showing.
Other design aspects are a navigation panel up the top to get to our about/news/contact pages, etc. Maybe links at the bottom. All dark themed.
Does such a thing exist?

Most themes either have dark theme alternatives or they are easy to customize so you can switch to a dark theme. I use Divi theme with the DiviBuilder, but that may be a bit overkill for you. If you look up “[ThemeForest]”, you can search for your exact need 🙂
As for where to host it…most plugins offer support for various platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Rumble, etc…
