I was running MariaDB 10.4 with WordPress 6.3 on FreeBSD. I upgraded to MariaDB 10.5, but now my WordPress install will no longer connect to the database; if I try and load the site, I get “error establishing database connection”

If I look in MariaDB, I can see the database, it has the correct name, I made sure the user and the password were correct, and I checked my wp.config.php file to make sure everything was correct

What did I miss?
