Defender found threat in Elementor update to 3.20.1

[ad_1]

I personally don’t use Elementor, but I maintain a few websites that use it. In my local backup I just updated to 3.20.1 and Windows Defender found a trojan in the ai.min.js file. Should I be worried?

Detected: Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml

Affected elements: …\wp-content\upgrade\elementor.3.20.1\elementor\assets\js\ai.min.js

  1. Something you paid for or snagged on a “free” theme website?
If it’s a cracked theme then perhaps it was modified by the “free” theme website.

I’ve seen many false-positives for several plugins in my time.
