Deleted page showing up as home oage

Update: the pages are now appearing as they should. But now the latest changes I have made are not showing, despite my having clicked “Update”.

Could there be some kind of lag with WordPress?

To answer my own question, the issue seems to have been caused by caching plugins and has now resolved itself.
