I really thought I could find some answers just through some googling as this seems like a pretty basic question, but I couldn’t find anything. So, I was hoping I could perhaps get answers here.
Over the past 2 months I’ve been learning the ropes of freelance web development and have undertaken some personal projects to learn the software better, but I still don’t feel as if I’m in a place to judge how much a project will cost.
Of course, I can give the client an hourly wage, but there is so much that still isn’t accounted for: project budgets, timelines, etc. Does anyone have any tips or guidelines on becoming more competent at this stuff? I will obviously get much better as I go through clients, but I don’t want to do the first few wrong by giving them inaccurate estimations.
Also, are there any other costs I should put in a brief that I’m missing here? You have a domain name and hosting to setup but that’s pretty straight forward. Thanks for any and all help.
