Did Twitter break the ability to embed Tweets today?

Was looking at a coworker’s post today, and it had full Twitter URLs just stuck in the body. And so I went in and tried the auto-embed capability, where you put a Tweet URL on a blank line by itself, and WordPress then embeds the Tweet into the post. And it did not seem to work for me either.

So, is this a result of Musk’s new policy to force people onto the Twitter platform to read anything?

Is there a workaround for this, if so? Or does the embed still work for other people?
