Looking to hear how others handle charging clients for software that is exclusive to the client. Not software that we all need for everyday at our business, but plugins or add-ons.
Do you set up the account to charge to the client directly?
Do you purchase a developer license and charge the client?
We are definitely more a boutique style agency, where we require less of the client and prefer to manage things for them. Some of my budget clients might manage their own accounts, but most prefer not to. They seem to come back to us with issues no matter who is the account holder, so we are leaning towards charging a small uncharge for management of the software. Thoughts? Best practices?
