[DISCUSSION] Should I use context menu (right click) inside my plugin’s pages?

[ad_1]

Interested in knowing your opinion on this one. I’m currently building a plugin that would benefit from a custom context menu; basically the plugin displays content/posts in cards in a custom admin pages and offers ways to view/edit/handle posts. So for example instead of clicking an item card, selecting the edit mode, find the general section and select a status for the post, users could right-click the item, go to the “General” item of the context menu, “Status” submenu opens automatically, and select the “Draft” status. You find this kind of features in a lot of online tools like Google Docs on Office365 stuff, but I’ve never seen it in a WordPress plugin.

So there’s two questions, actually: is this something you’d find interesting to have in a plugin, and is this something well regarded in the plugin community, or is it discouraged/not recommended/disapproved by the community?
