Hey folks,
i’d like to build a website with a specific topic where people can buy and sell for example motocycles. The whole page should also have articles and maps around group meetups or charging stations themeing the electric part.
people should be able to offer things for free (used), businesses should pay a monthly fee or per offer (new stuff).
Cost is not an issue, should not exceed 200-300 a year.

I have the following to decide between, which is what my research resulted in:
**Divi +**
1. GeoDirectories
2. Directorist
3. Classified Listings
4. Classified Listings Pro
**Or go with one of the following themes:**
1. Classima (Favorite)
2. ListingPro
3. Bello
4. ListGo
I am a little scared of a specific theme stopping the support or becoming a lowkey effort theme like ClassiPress, stopping elementor support like with all the visual composer theams over the last years (which was no bad thing, just the need of redesigning the project completely).
On the other hand, a theme includes most stuff without the need of dozens of additional plugins.
What would you go for? I am a Divi starter, used Themecos Pro over the last years btw. Divi just had the best reviews out of Avada, Pro and Divi.

Well… Divi is awful (as is Avada) – so for me you’re not off to the best start. If you’re worried about the theme stopping support – why pick one of the worst themes out there for locking you in – and with a LTD model?
If it’s a listings site you could consider JetEngine – which has a template for listings sites (and much else). It would mean all the plugins came from the same ‘family’.
But – for me – you want to do a lot, and so it could get bloated quite quickly. So a light, fast theme is essential – something like Astra or Kadence if you can’t actually build websites… or Oxygen (which you could build a listings site in without plugins), Bricks or Breakdance.
Oxygen/Bricks/Breakdance don’t use shortcodes – so you can switch themes more easily. Bricks even has a ‘translate my stuff from Bricks to Gutenberg’ option.
That plus a listings plugin and you’re good.
