Hello. When I started my website a while ago, I was given a trial of Jetpack. I can’t quite figure out what it is, or if I need to renew it. I have migrated to GoDaddy WordPress hosting, which has 24-hour malware scans and backups. It’s a blog with no e-commerce or advertising. (I just do it for fun.) I’d be grateful for your advice.

No, you don’t need it. And from experience with past WP websites, Jetpack was the leading cause of a slowed down admin panel, causing +0.5s to +2s per admin page.
Other plugins do the same things but better and more efficiently.
Getting Wordfence free is always a good idea.
If for fun then no need premium jetpack. You can use the free version for analytics without antispam etc
Edit: gtfo immediately from godaddy, they will offer you shit you don’t need. Save some quid, plenty of good hostings to choose. I spent only from $15 to $21 per year for my hostings.
