I took a backup of a fresh website (the only thing there are the basic pages – Privacy, Terms, Disclaimer).
After I imported the backup to a fresh WP install, the domain name from the copied backup didnt change in the new install.
Here is what I did:
Setup fresh WP install with basic pages
In Settings>General, the site name is [Site Title]On the basic pages like Privacy, Disclaimer, etc, I had the name of the old domain (example DomainName.com). This is not a link, but just a mention of the domain.
I then did the backup.
After importing into a fresh install, I expected that the DomainName.com inside the basic pages will change to the new Domain name. But it didn’t. But on the same page where it had https://DomainName.com (with https which is actually a link) the changes happened.
Is there a way I can get the changes to happen without Https?
