Easiest way to add a video in place of featured/hero image (avada theme)?

Trying to find the best solution to display an embedded YouTube video in place of my featured/hero image, if I have a video to display.

  • I want to do this while still having a static image that's different from the YouTube thumbnail which would be displayed in elements like related article carousels for example.
  • Using the Avada theme.

Would this be a lot of custom work?
