Elementor not hiding captions in basic gallery

When I edit the basic gallery in elementor it shows and hides the captions instantly in the preview window when I click on show/hide, but in my published webpage the gallery always shows captions under each image in a very dark coloured text which is hard to make out.

I tried changing the caption colour to full white and it too changed instantly while editing, but the published webpage hasn’t changed.

I don’t want any captions in the main gallery page which should have no gaps between the images (as it shows in the preview window while editing).

I only want captions in the lightbox which works fine.

I don’t know if it is related but sometimes when I make an edit and click publish I get a 500 internal error, but it will successfully publish after a few clicks or sometimes first click.
