Elementor to Bricks

Hi brain trust,
I’m about to move a site from Elementor to Bricks and had a question..

I’m going to make a copy of the site on staging as others have suggested but do I completely remove Elementor and hello theme before installing bricks and start from scratch?

Also does anyone have recommendations for database cleaning plugins to remove all traces of old plugins?
