The website that I am currently managing suffers from SEO spam attacks. This is my first time experiencing this kind of attack. How do they execute this kind of attacks?

Seems like a hack and they have put those links in your website. You need to make a rule to redirect links like that to your homepage.
Where is your screenshot from? Google Analytics?
People do this all the time. SEO spambots. Links like that work on almost every site. See:
https://www.amazon.com/?cricket/hindi-whateverthefuck.html
Now maybe that URL is going to show up in Amazon’s analytics.
What I have done in the past is analyze the traffic in Google Analytics and create filters (in Google Analytics) that filter out these people the best I can. But you will never get them all. Its a constant battle.
