Can you provide a live URL on your site where I can see the huge emoji? It’s impossible to offer any assistance without looking at the page’s HTML code.

Looks fine for me on latest DESKTOP versions of Firefox (first screenshot) and Chrome (second screenshot) — both on Windows 11.
Could this be an issue on your own computer only? Can you test this from an Incognito/Guest window?
Ahh, that’s weird. I’m using macOS and Firefox. Just tested with Chrome, it’s still happening.
As the page is loading, it shows the emojis in small regular size, and then bigger.
I captured a screenshot during the first second, and how it looks like right after:
It still happens on a private window. I’m glad to know this is an issue on my computer only. Will try to fix it. Thank you!
You may want to try clearing your browser’s cache. Does it happen on your computer no matter what browser you’re using?
@georgetasioulis yes. I did clear the browser’s cache, it’s happening on my computer in every browser. Can’t seem to find the issue here.
I don’t see the issue in Safari 18.1 (under macOS 15.1), Safari under iOS 18.1, Firefox 132.0.1, and Vivaldi 7.0.3495.11 (Chromium 130.0.6723.121).
They all look like George’s screenshots from earlier.
Specifically, which browsers, and versions of, do you see the problem under?
Thanks for checking. The issue is happening on Firefox 115.17.0esr (64-bit), Google Chrome 116.0.5845.187 (Official Build) (x86_64) – both under macOS 10.13.6 (I know it’s a very old one, the machine is old).
Both browser versions are very very old.
Would you please try updating them?
@macmanx I already tried, unfortunately my macOS is very old and can’t update it on this machine. Firefox says it’s up to date, and Chrome says “To get future Google Chrome updates, you’ll need macOS 10.15 or later. This computer is using macOS 10.13” .
Ok, if you’re unable to install a version of macOS that’s newer than the 7-year-old macOS 10.13, then unfortunately you won’t be able to use the up-to-date major browsers.
Your site and theme are indeed working properly, but they are both using more modern web technologies than your browsers can support. Similarly, over time, you’ll begin to see more display anomalies across the web.
I do have good news for you though. http://icab.de has a reputation as the old Mac workhorse of the web. It was one of the first Mac-only browsers, it’s still being developed today, and its latest release (6.2.3, released July of this year) requires at least macOS 10.13 according to their download page. I installed it and can confirm that it is displaying your test page properly. iCab can be behind modern web technologies at times, so I generally don’t recommend it over up-to-date major browsers, but you might want to consider switching to it until you get a Mac that can support newer versions of macOS (currently, Firefox requires macOS 10.15 or higher, and Chrome requires macOS 11 or higher).
@macmanx I understand. Thank you so much for your reply and assistance. I don’t think I can make it work on this macOS then, it’s not even working with iCab. I’ll definitely upgrade asap! We may close this thread. Thanks to everyone who replied!
Ah yeah, then it must be a problem with how the older macOS handles its emoji in certain situations. 🙁
