Work-around to admin to add an Image in a Comment

[ad_1]

Looking to see if there is a work-around where the admin can add an image to a new comment?

Link to the page you need help with: is an existing image that has been manually added to an old comment many moons ago.

Every now and again there is a need to add a photo to a comment.

It used to be possible – today I went back to some old comments to refresh myself with how I did it. It appears I previously just added in something like the below into the comment:

<div align="center"><small><img src="https://www.XXXXXXXXX.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/IMG-20200426-WA0006_Warri.webp" alt="Playing Sungka – the Filipino version of Warri" width="600" height="338" /><br>Playing Sungka – the Filipino version of Warri. Here shells are used instead of horse-nicker seeds.</small></div>

It seems that WP has tightened up the security on the admin – making it impossible to now add an image to a comment.

Its seems that where I have previously done this the images remain.

Today I was looking to add a photo to a comment. It seems that going forward that it’s no longer possible for the WP admin to add an image tag within a comment. WP strips out the <img tag.

Is there any work-around where I could add an image that is in my Media Library to an existing comment?

Many thanks

PB
