Every theme takes over home page (Tearing my hair out)

[ad_1]

I’ve just set up WordPress hosting on Bluehost and begun fleshing out a site. It’s been a long time since I set up a new WP site, but I’m not totally new. I am a casual nerd, but no coder.

Every dang theme I install seems to take over the Homepage. That is, every page I create and set as Homepage gets published to the live site and displays either all of the sample/theme front-page template or part of the header is the theme content and part is my content. If I designate a different page as home, the page loads correctly. EVERY. DANG. THEME.

What am I missing?

I’ve got a GoDaddy-hosted page and not having this issue.
