External API to WordPress & Formidable Forms

[ad_1]

Hey everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m currently working on a project where I’m looking to replicate a process similar to what’s found here: [https://dpfredress.com/claim](https://dpfredress.com/claim), but I’m building it on WordPress, using Formidable Forms for its repeater feature. The end goal is to generate a PDF populated with a signature.

To achieve this, I’m integrating an external vehicle API to fetch vehicle data based on a given registration number. Specifically, I need to display the vehicle’s Make and Model and have a set of radio buttons for other options, with both the value and label populated dynamically from the API’s response.

Has anyone tackled something similar using these tools? I’m aware a custom solution might be ideal, but given the time constraints and the resources at my disposal, I’m committed to using WordPress and Formidable Forms.

Additionally, I’m looking for advice on securely storing and handling the external API data. If anyone has best practices or tips on this, especially regarding the secure use of WPGETAPI (which, according to their support, conceals the API key), it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for any insights or guidance you can offer.

Best, Adam
