This is well noted for now. The tricky bit is ensuring that the site with this feature will send the email address successfully, and the the email containing the link will not go to the spam folder of the user’s inbox. This usually involves setting up SMTP or email relay for delivering the site’s transactional emails, which is another step to work through.
Implementing two-factor auth via a mobile app, e.g. Authenticator, might be a more robust approach. This is under consideration for ASE Pro.
