Can you try to regenerate your permalinks? (press save on the permalinks site, you do not have to change anything)

Hi @pfefferle – Nope… same result.

Updated and emptied the site’s cache too… just in case…

@pfefferle – Found the origin!!!

It’s Yoast SEO, an option in “Crawl optimization”, to Remove global comment feeds – Remove URLs which provide an overview of recent comments on your site. eg.

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Example Website - Comments Feed" href="https://www.example.com/comments/feed/" />

It’s part of “Disable unwanted content formats
WordPress outputs your content in many different formats, across many different URLs (like RSS feeds of your posts and categories). It’s generally good practice to disable the formats you’re not actively using.

But they’re not disabled per se, as probably “non standard”, but redirected?

There are many other options there, that don’t affect this behavior. Only the “Comments Feed” option…

Strange…

Sincerely
DJM

PS: should I post a bug report on Yoast SEO?

I am not sure if Yoast sees this as a bug or a feature 😉
