I like someone’s work at Figma.
1. How do I create a website out of it?
2. I need to add more features (like different categories),
3. Can the person who has made a prototype will be able to build it or do I need to approach any freelancer?
4. What are the challenges here? (like if this has to be WordPress or any other platform)

1. You’d have to export the Figma design as HTML and create a WordPress theme based on that (or a developer could just use it as a reference), or pay someone else to develop the theme for you.
2. That’s something you do when the website has been created. Any categories you add would just follow the same template/style that will be implemented by the developer.
3. Maybe, but I’m sure the person that made the prototype could tell you whether they’re also a developer that could build your site for you. We can’t tell you whether they’re capable of this or not.
4. Figma is just a design tool. It really doesn’t matter who/what is used to develop it into a functioning website (other than deciding on which CMS/platform you want to use, and then you’d likely look for someone that specializes in building on that platform, then hire them as the developer).
We get asked a lot about transferring a website design from one platform or another… In my experience, the most time-consuming part of designing websites is coming up with the *actual* design and copywriting.
If you’re using a drag-and-drop tool like Beaver Builder and you have the design ready to go in Figma, exporting the design assets and arranging them on your WordPress site tends to be pretty painless. Of course, if it’s a very complex design or if there are many pages that need to be built, this might not be the case.
