I need a little advice. I am learning WordPress now (have prior experience with programming) and am about to start building my first website.
I do feel that custom theme would be a goal for my future portfolio, but should I get the first page done with ready made theme? It feels that ready made theme requires way too little code and custom theme may be a bit of an overhead.
Maybe taking an existing theme and trying to replicate it?
Anyone got any suggestions?
