For my website should I be using WordPress (Elementor or Bricks) or something else?

Hi r/Wordpress, hoping that you’ll be able to help me with something that’s outside the realm of my experience. I’m looking to build/have built a website similar to Angi’s ([https://www.angi.com/](https://www.angi.com/)) or Zocdoc ([https://www.zocdoc.com/](https://www.zocdoc.com/)) with similar functionalities (backend payment systems, calendar synchronization, automatic creation of provider pages when they sign up and fill out all of their information, Zoom integration, etc.) and I’ve been mulling having someone build it for me. I have very limited experience with website development (some unrelated WordPress experience).

In your opinion, do you think it’s best that I try to learn more and go with a WordPress site powered by Elementor or Bricks (which I hear can be clumsy for a large platform like the one I’m building out) or hire someone? If hire someone, what should I be asking for them to use (or what do you think is best for them to use) and how much would you ballpark something like this to cost to code/develop?

Thank you in advance!

  1. If you find the time, definitely build it yourself using Bricks. Gives you all the control and you know how to make changes. Using a page builder like Bricks for a big platform can by clumsy if done wrong, but if you build in a maintainable way using classes, … it’s as clean as it’ll get.
