I like to try front end development with wordpress. I know html, css, javascript and some php.
Is there somewhere a good free course that teaches me to make a template with the old way and the new block theme way ?
Yes. Lots. You should try this directory thing that helps you find stuff… gaggle, or gluggle – something like that…
Lookup “followandrew” (I think) he has a nice 2 hour youtube video on creating themes.
I would like to you an advice. Please check some starter theme which has all the boilerplate code. This way you can understand how a bare theme with almost no functionality works. Then adding css and html or even php would be of much issue. WordPress documentation and learn are my go to place.
